Dr Adrian Kee is Head and Senior Consultant at the Division of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (RCCM) at the National University Hospital, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. His broad-ranging clinical interests include critical care, bronchoscopy diagnostics and therapeutics, lung cancer diagnosis and complication management. In addition, Dr Kee actively spearheads and directs Appropriate Care initiatives in the hospital with the aim of improving care delivery and reducing inappropriate and unnecessary tests or medications. Dr Kee is the immediate past Program Director of the NUHS Internal Medicine residency program where he served from 2017 to 2022. He continues to serve as a faculty member within the program to mentor young residents. He continues to contribute actively as a Residency Advisory Committee member of the Intensive Care Medicine RAC. |

Dr Amanda YL Lim is a Consultant Endocrinologist in NUH. She is currently the Programme Director in Endocrinology in NUHS. Her subspeciality interest is in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Obesity. She was awarded the Learning Development Award to pursue a fellowship in the obesity management with the Imperial Weight Centre in the UK.

Dr Amanda Zain is a consultant practising general paediatrics and paediatric emergency medicine at NUH, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NUS Medicine. As a clinician educator, she teaches undergraduates and residents across paediatrics and sustainability topics. Alongside her clinical and teaching responsibilities, her doctoral research focuses on the application of implementation science in sustainable prescribing, particularly in inhalers and paediatric asthma care. She previously served as the Assistant Dean in Sustainability at NUS Medicine, helping establish the Centre for Sustainable Medicine as its founding Deputy Director. She now serves as Clinical Lead at the National University Health System Office of Sustainability and is an affiliate faculty of the medical school's Behavioural and Implementation Sciences Intervention (BISI) and Heat Resilience and Performance Centre (HRPC). Her work intersects with institutional and health system efforts on climate adaptation and sustainable care models.

Dr. Christopher Smith is a general internist in the Division of General Medicine and Primary Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After serving as Chief Medical Resident, Dr. Smith completed the Rabkin Fellowship in Medical Education at the Shapiro Institute for Education and Research and Harvard Medical School, and later served as the co-Director of the Fellowship. For 11 years he served as the Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at BIDMC, and continues to serve as the Director of the Clinician Educator Track for residents, and Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Smith is the recipient of several teaching awards, including the Herrman L. Blumgart Faculty Award, the Robert C. Moellering, Jr. Award for contributions as teacher, clinician, and researcher, the Society of General Internal Medicine National Award for Scholarship in Medical Education, and the S. Robert Stone Award for Excellence in Teaching at Harvard Medical School.

Dr Chua Chun En is a Consultant in the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine with interests in quality improvement, medical education, and health services research. She has led multiple award-winning projects focused on improving the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of discharge summaries, recognising their importance in patient safety and continuity of care. Building on this work, she has translated her quality improvement initiatives into undergraduate medical education by developing structured teaching programmes in discharge summary writing. She was awarded a teaching grant to further innovate in this area through the integration of artificial intelligence, enabling scalable and high-quality feedback for learners. Dr Chua is also actively involved in health services research, particularly in perioperative medicine, where she is interested in improving care delivery, patient outcomes, and resource utilisation. In recognition of her contributions and potential, she was awarded a Ministry of Health fellowship to pursue further training in the United Kingdom, supporting her continued development in perioperative medicine and health services research.

Dr. Daniel Ricotta is an academic hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Associate Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency training and chief medical residency at BIDMC before pursuing the Rabkin Fellowship in Medical Education, where he implemented a “resident as leader” curriculum. Dr. Ricotta served as an associate director for the internal medicine residency program for a number of years where he developed and oversaw the simulation-based training curriculum. He is currently the Senior Director of the Shapiro Simulation and Skills Center at BIDMC and Associate Director of the Shapiro Institute for Education and Research. Dr. Ricotta is also medical director for a healthcare technology startup developing artificial intelligence tools to support clinical decisions-making. His research focuses on resident leadership development, simulation-based training, and team-work communication.

Adj A/Prof Oon joined the Division of Infectious Diseases in 2010 where she exited from the Advanced Specialist Training in 2013. Her interests lie in general infectious diseases, travel and tropical medicine. She currently serves as Clinical Director for the outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT) and dengue outpatient management (DOM) clinic. She also help set up and run the NUH Travellers’ Health and Vaccination clinic.
Dr Oon is passionate about medical education and serves in various educational leadership roles as well as national committees on graduate medical education. She is active in teaching learners in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, and had served as the Programme Director for the Infectious Diseases Senior Residency Programme from 2017 to 2025. She completed the Master in Healthcare Professional Education (MHPE) with Maastricht University in 2021.

Dr Kristie Fan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at NUH and Alexandra Hospital, Singapore, with expertise in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. She manages patients with complex gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders, with a focus on integrating nutrition into digestive disease care.
She is the Undergraduate Education Director at the National University Centre for Digestive Diseases and an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. She is actively involved in curriculum development and clinical teaching.
Her recent educational exposure at BIDMC/Harvard has strengthened her approach to structured residency teaching and clinical reasoning. She is known for her systematic, patient-centred approach, particularly in cases involving the intersection of gastroenterology and nutrition.

Adjunct Associate Professor Low How Cheng is a senior consultant gastroenterologist and Programme Director for the NUH Gastroenterology Senior Residency Programme. He is actively involved in postgraduate medical education, curriculum development, and faculty development.
His teaching philosophy emphasises clinical reasoning, pragmatic thinking processes, and evidence-based decision-making. He has a strong interest in developing structured approaches to diagnosis and management, as well as integrating artificial intelligence tools into clinical education.
Following his recent educational exposure at BIDMC/Harvard, he continues to promote interactive, reflective, and case-based learning in residency training.

Mark Zeidel, M.D., is Herrman L. Blumgart Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Physician in Chief and Chair of the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He has made important contributions to our understanding of how water and other small molecules cross biological membranes, how the kidney helps control body chemistry, as well as how the bladder functions to store and void urine, and has led several successful national initiatives in medical education. A national thought leader in quality improvement, he has pioneered the provision of highly reliable, cost-effective care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), where he helped BIDMC’s achieve of outstanding clinical outcomes, recognized by the American Hospital Association, Society for Critical Care Medicine, the Leapfrog Group, and the Department of Health and Human Services. He has received numerous awards, including election to the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians, the Robert H. Williams Distinguished Chair of Medicine Award from the Association of Professors of Medicine and the Robert Narins Award for Medical Education from the American Society of Nephrology.

Martin J. Abrahamson, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Division of Continuing Medical Education in the Department of Medicine and an active faculty member of the Endocrine Division, Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa, and completed his internship, residency and clinical fellowship in internal medicine and endocrinology at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, where he was a research fellow before joining the faculty of medicine at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital. Dr. Abrahamson was joint head of the Endocrine Unit in Cape Town before taking up a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Hospital in 1992.
He joined the faculty at Joslin Diabetes Center in 1998 where he held positions as Chief of Adult Diabetes, Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs until 2015. While at Joslin Diabetes Center, Dr. Abrahamson led the reorganization of the Adult Diabetes Section into multidisciplinary teams comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse educators, nutritionists, and exercise physiologists and spearheaded “pathways of care” for patients referred to Joslin (JoslinCare). He has co-authored guidelines for the pharmacological and perioperative management of patients with diabetes and management of hyperglycemic emergencies, and authored more than 80 papers, review articles and chapters related to diabetes. He currently serves as chair of the steering committee for the ASCEND program (Academy for Science and Continuing Education in Diabetes and Obesity), an international CME initiative.
Dr. Abrahamson’s research interests include the management of patients with diabetes, and use of technology to improve diabetes care and outcomes. Dr. Abrahamson is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and is a Fellow of the College of Physicians of South Africa. He has been cited regularly in Boston Magazine as one of Boston’s top doctors, and has delivered numerous invited lectures nationally and internationally on the management of diabetes. In 2010 he was the recipient of the Samuel Eichold II Memorial Award for contributions to Diabetes from the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Abrahamson has recently co-authored a book on diabetes with Dr. Sanjiv Chopra entitled “Conquer Your Diabetes: Prevention, Control, Remission”.

Within the clinical realm, Shao Feng is an endocrinologist and a firm believer of empowering and supporting patients in their journey of living with chronic metabolic disorders. He completed a clinical fellowship in Andrology in Concord Repatriation General Hospital in New South Wales, Australia in 2016 and holds a special interest in the evaluation and management of male hypogonadism.
Shao Feng is also an avid educator who currently serves as the Programme Director of the NUHS Internal Medicine Residency Programme. He carries his person-centred approach into the education space and seeks to develop every trainee in a holistic manner. He is also interested in developing clinical reasoning skills and improving assessments in medical education. He completed the Master of Healthcare Professions Education (MHPE) with Maastricht University in 2019.

Dr. Fan is currently Attending Physician and formerly Chief of Rheumatology at West LA VA Medical Center, Los Angeles. He went to medical school in Canada at the University of Manitoba, completed internship and residency in internal medicine at L.A. County-USC Medical Center and fellowship in rheumatology at UCLA School of Medicine. He joined the UCLA faculty in 1976 and has been Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Rheumatology Division since 1991.
In 1981, together with colleagues at UCLA, Dr. Fan reported the first cases of the AIDS syndrome. He has been visiting professor and lecturer in Finland, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Thailand. He is the recipient of awards and honors for teaching, patient care, voluntary services and patient advocacy including the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine “Gold Doc” Award in 2013. In April 2017 his fellow rheumatologists in California honored him with the California Rheumatology Alliance Life Time Achievement Award and in September 2019 the UCLA Division of Rheumatology awarded him the Lifetime Teaching Award for outstanding contributions as noted researcher, clinician and teacher.

Adjunct Associate Professor Sabrina Haroon is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Nephrology at the National University Hospital, where she also serves as Medical Director of the Inpatient Dialysis Center and the Outpatient High Dependency Renal Center. She is the Associate Editor for Artificial Organs journal and holds a Master of Applied Science in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality. A dedicated advocate for patient safety, Dr. Haroon is actively involved in advancing quality improvement initiatives within dialysis units and serves as Project Consultant for the Ministry of Health Singapore on Serious Reportable Events. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a focus on patient safety and healthcare quality.

Dr Shoban Krishna Kumar is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Dr Michelle Tan is a clinician–scientist from Changi General Hospital, pursuing a PhD at the Centre for Sustainable Medicine, NUS. Her research focuses on the carbon footprint of hospital acute care pathways and developing practical strategies to drive more sustainable models of care. With a background in anaesthesiology and training in data science and life cycle assessment, she advances the use of carbon analytics to reduce healthcare-related emissions.

Prof A Vathsala graduated with a Bachelor of Science in the Premedical Curriculum from Auburn University, Alabama and studied Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, USA. She completed her training in Internal Medicine in Singapore and obtained her Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom). She underwent training in Renal Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital and received a Health Manpower Development Programme scholarship to undergo training in Transplantation at the University of Houston, Texas and the Cornell University School of Medicine, USA. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and a Fellow, Academy of Medicine (Singapore). She has been instrumental in advancing Singapore's renal transplantation program, overseeing significant milestones such as the first spousal kidney transplant in 1991 and the introduction of crossmatch-positive deceased donor kidney transplants in 2007. Under her leadership, NUH performed Singapore's first pancreas-kidney transplant in 2012. She has also held leadership positions in professional organisations, including serving as the founding President of the Society of Transplantation (Singapore) and as President of the Asian Society of Transplantation for two terms. Her significant contributions to medicine have been widely acknowledged through prestigious awards, reflecting her leadership in the field of nephrology and renal transplantation, such as the Master Clinician Award (2025), SMA Merit Award (2023), Distinguished Senior Clinician Award (2018), National Outstanding Clinician Award (2010).

Adj A/Prof Amelia Santosa graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2006 and subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, as well as a Master of Medicine from the National University of Singapore. She completed her specialist training in Rheumatology at the National University Hospital (NUH) and later obtained a postgraduate certificate in Allergy from Imperial College London.
Dr Santosa cares for patients with rheumatological and allergic diseases. Her research interests include healthcare quality improvement and allergy, with an emphasis on delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
She currently serves as Head of Division for the Division of Rheumatology & Allergy at NUH and holds the role of Vice Chairman, Medical Board (Clinical Strategy) at NUH, where she contributes to shaping institutional priorities, advancing models of care, and strengthening clinical governance. She co-leads the Appropriate Care Programme, driving initiatives to optimise clinical outcomes and resource utilisation across the institution. She serves on the board of the Chapter of Rheumatologists and Section of Clinical Immunology & Allergists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, where she contributes in shaping the specialty's national professional standards.

A/Prof Manjari Lahiri is a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. Her clinical and research interests are in inflammatory arthritis, immune-related toxicity from cancer immunotherapy, vaccination in rheumatic disease, and health care quality and services research. A/Prof Lahiri is actively involved in education as the Director, Undergraduate education, Department of Medicine, and Phase Director (Phase V) for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. She is the recipient of several awards, most recently in 2025 the NUHS excellence award, the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award, and the NUSMed Faculty Teaching Excellence Award for her leadership and contributions to clinical excellence and education.
A/Prof Lahiri is the immediate past Chair of the Chapter of Rheumatologists, College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. During her tenure, she led initiatives for the formulation of published recommendations for government subsidisation for biologic drugs for inflammatory arthritis, and for COVID-19 vaccination in people with rheumatic diseases, and oversaw the establishment of an 8-hospital registry to study flares of rheumatic disease after COVID vaccination.

Adj A/Prof Margaret Ma obtained a distinction in her medical degree (MBBS) from King's College London in 2002. After becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2005, she remained in London to undertake her rheumatology training. During her training, she was also awarded a distinction in her MSc in Rheumatology at King's College London. Subsequently, she was awarded the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Doctoral Research Fellowship to undertake her doctoral thesis in rheumatoid arthritis, under the guidance of Prof Andrew Cope and Prof David L Scott at King's College London. After her training, she worked as a consultant at King's College Hospital, London and was involved in several national clinical trials. Before joining National University Hospital in 2019, she also spent time as a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Rheumatology at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), USA.
She is trained in rheumatology ultrasound and is currently the lead of the Rheumatology Ultrasound service across NUH and NTFGH. She also has an interest in education and is the Programme Director of the NUHS Rheumatology Residency Programme. Adj A/Prof Ma has extensive experience in conducting clinical trials in rheumatic conditions. Her interests are in inflammatory arthritides, telemedicine, biomarkers and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy.

Dr. Frank Tay Sen Hee is a Senior Consultant at National University Hospital, where he completed advanced specialty trainings in rheumatology and clinical immunology-allergy. He also obtained a PhD focused on neutrophils in systemic lupus erythematosus from National University of Singapore (NUS). Following his graduate studies, Dr. Tay completed his post-doctoral research on epigenetics with Prof. Kenneth G. C. Smith at the University of Cambridge.
Academically, Dr. Tay is an Adjunct Associate Professor at NUS and serves as the Deputy Chair of NUSMed Immunology Translational Research Programme as well as the Clinical Lead of NUS-Cambridge Immune Phenotyping Centre. Clinically, Dr. Tay is the Co-Chair of the immune-related toxicity team and chimeric antigen receptor-T cell therapy steering committee in National University Hospital. He is a member of the Section of Clinical Immunologists and Allergists, Chapter of Rheumatologists, College of Physicians and College of Clinician Scientists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. His research interests include immune-mediated diseases, cellular immunotherapy and multiomics.

Dr. Cho Jiacai is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy at the National University Hospital. His subspecialty interests include systemic lupus erythematosus, obstetric rheumatology, allergy/immunology and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a member of the Asia Pacific Lupus Collaboration, and is a coauthor of regional and international SLE treatment guidelines.

Dr. Charlotte Tan Su-Lin is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2012, subsequently obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2015 and her Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2016. She completed her specialist residency at NUH and was accredited as a Rheumatology specialist in 2021.
Dr. Tan provides comprehensive care for a wide spectrum of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, with a particular focus on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and inflammatory arthritis. She is trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which allows her to utilise point-of-care imaging for the precise assessment and real-time monitoring of rheumatic diseases.
Beyond her clinical roles, Dr. Tan is a dedicated educator, contributing to the training and mentorship of medical students and junior residents. She also serves as a council member for the Lupus Association Singapore (LAS), where she is actively involved in patient advocacy and supporting the local rheumatology community.

Dr. Phang Kee Fong is a consultant Rheumatologist practising at both Alexandra Hospital (AH) and National University Hospital (NUH). He completed his Rheumatology training in 2020 and Allergy and Clinical Immunology training in 2025. Dr Phang is also a member of the core faculty for the Rheumatology Senior Residency Program at NUH and provides direct supervision for Rheumatology trainees during training and inpatient services. He also serves as the Informatics Director for the Division of Rheumatology at NUH, where he leads efforts to digitise clinical workflows—such as incorporating patient-reported outcome questionnaires into patient-facing apps—and developing virtual clinic services for allied health care professionals at AH.

Dr Julian Lim is an Associate Consultant Rheumatologist with the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy at the National University Hospital (NUH). He graduated from University College London Medical School in 2017 with distinctions in Medical Science, Clinical Science and Clinical Practice, and completed his residency training with the National University Health System (NUHS) in 2024.
His clinical interests include connective tissue disease–associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD), and he runs a multidisciplinary clinic with Respiratory physicians at NUH. He is also trained in nailfold capillaroscopy for the evaluation of scleroderma and myositis-spectrum disorders. Nationally, he serves as Secretary of the Singapore Society of Rheumatology.
Dr Lim has a keen interest in medical education across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As Undergraduate Director for Rheumatology at NUH and the National University of Singapore (NUS), he has led curriculum development and has designed a diverse portfolio of teaching programmes, including lectures and interactive case-based discussions. He is also actively involved in teaching Internal Medicine residents. He has received multiple education awards, including the NUHS Young Clinician Mentor Award (2024), NUHS Teaching Excellence Award (2025), and the NUH Department of Medicine Chan Heng Leong Best Teacher Award (2024–2025).

Dr Tang May Shuen is an Associate Consultant with the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy, Department of Medicine, National University Hospital, Singapore. She obtained her medical degree from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2018. Upon graduation, she underwent junior residency training in Internal Medicine with the National University Health System, and attained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2021 and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2022. She completed Rheumatology senior residency training with the NUHS and achieved specialist accreditation in 2025.
Dr Tang currently serves as the Clinical Service Director and Patient Safety Officer for the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy. She provides holistic care in the quaternary Lupus Clinic, and the Timely Arthritis Response & Guided Escalation of Treatment (TARGET) Clinics. She is also an affiliate member of the National University Cancer Institution, Singapore, serving in the CAR-T Cell Therapy Steering Committee and Immune-Related Toxicity Team. She is actively involved in education as a Core Faculty member for the NUHS Internal Medicine residency programme and Clinical Senior Lecturer for the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
