Welcome to the official website of the 8th NUHS BIDMC Medicine Conference 2026.
It is our pleasure to invite you to join us for this biennial academic gathering, which continues to reflect the enduring collaboration between the National University Health System and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
This year’s conference marks a thoughtful evolution in both structure and intent. Moving beyond the traditional single-day format, the programme has been expanded into a hybrid model spanning 29–30 May 2026. The first day will feature a series of interactive workshops designed to address key domains of contemporary practice. These sessions will encompass clinical excellence, educational innovation, and quality improvement, providing participants with opportunities for practical engagement, reflection, and skill development in areas that are increasingly central to modern medicine.
The second day will retain the hallmark features of the conference, bringing together plenary lectures and symposia that explore pressing themes in healthcare. Topics will include the delivery of holistic care, the challenges and opportunities of healthcare transformation, advances in systemic medicine, the refinement of clinical reasoning, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in both clinical practice and medical education. Collectively, these sessions aim to stimulate critical thought while grounding discussion in real-world application. Preceding the main programme, a series of internal sessions on 28 May 2026 will provide a platform for deeper engagement between NUHS participants and visiting BIDMC faculty. These include resident-led discussions, divisional teaching sessions, and focused interactions across subspecialties. In addition, our BIDMC Faculty Members will be participating in the NUH Hospital Grand Round on the morning of 29 May 2026 to set the tone for the following days.
Through this expanded format, the conference seeks not only to disseminate knowledge but also to foster dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning across all levels of practice. We look forward to your participation in what promises to be a rich and forward-looking academic experience.
